Dear Friends:
I'm back from a nutty weekend and trying to get back into my routine. My blog sista's know what I do on Monday's right? Yup, I'm "digging-out". I'm thinking I should start that as a category on my blog b/c I'm always announcing my dig outs. When everyone is home on the w/e things get out of control and then I try to corral everything on Monday's. This brings me to discussing my obsession with containerizing. I love having pretty boxes to keep all my "junk" in. I am a big sucker for the photo box sale's at the craft store! They recently came out with some new one's I couldn't resist. I was also eye-ing the pretty box (trunk) last week and it went on sale, so I got it for 6.99...score! I also picked up this little crosstich in the dollar bin.
I am going to go back and get more. It came in handy when we were driving back from a day trip yesterday and got stuck in traffic for an extra hour. I bought a beach chair scene to remind me of summer. I love summer and can't wait for it! I know I can use this little crosstitch as an ornament later or in one of my square collages, who knows?! One thing I know is that I like to have something going when I'm in the car or what have you. So, for those of you that say you don't have time....you can always work small, that's what I do! It's just as enjoyable for me to work on something small because I know I won't have a whole day to work on something big. So bit by bit, I get in my creative fun.
Now off I go to fill my new boxes! The small top one will be for my sewing supplies/small projects that I've been toting about the house as of late. I also have to go dig out in the laundry room as well, and then there's more to do, but It makes it more fun for me if I have prettiful boxes to put stuff in. Hope this inspires you too. xo Lia
p.s. you don't have to go out and buy pretty containers, I do that as a "treat" from time to time...I also like to use things around the house to contain items. My daughter looks like she's picked up on that as she organized these "valentine's day colored" craft buttons in a votive jar. Thinking out of the box is always fun too!
