I thought I would share some pics from the process of sewing the fabric charms.
1. cut the fabric in 1.5 inch pieces, (made a template out of heavy board).
2. cut the stablizer (in my case I used a leftover piece of canvas type fabric from a basket holder I had), but you can use interfacing, etc.
3. sewed up the squares (like a sandwich fabric, canvas binder, fabric. I left a frayed edge. I will share some resources at the end of this post for seeing the real "sha-bang", there are many textile, fiber artists out there making all kinds of nice charms. Alot of them are finished around the edge and also made with felt. 
4. I scanned one of my paper collage squares and printed it on a store bought fabric paper sheet.
5. I sewed those onto the squares.
6. I painted the edges with fabric pens.
7. I used glue around the edges to minimize the fraying.
8. I punched eyelets into them with with a eyelet setting tool kit from the craft store (a very basic set). It was only my second time doing that so they are far from "perfect", but it sure was fun hammering up those eyelets. "ha-ya"!
